Mediation is a way of resolving disputes without the need to go to court.
The way mediation works is that an independent third party is appointed by both sides. The role of the mediator is to help the parties reach a solution to their problem and arrive at an outcome that is acceptable to both parties. Mediators do not take sides and cannot force a resolution on the parties, the parties must agree to this.
At Rubin Lewis O’Brien we have been involved in many mediation cases from relatively small matters, to claims worth in excess of a million pounds.
Mediation if it is successful, is much cheaper than going to court, however, if the mediation fails then court proceedings are still available.
We able to guide you through the mediation process and advise you throughout.
