Monday 16th May 1983 marked the first day of Julie Roberts, who joined the firm as an ‘office junior’. Today, Tuesday 16th May 2023, our longest-serving colleague celebrates 40 years with the firm.
Julie joined the firm after being interviewed by founder Jeremy Rubin, who offered her a position the same day. Her first day was at the firm’s former office on Caradoc Road. She has since worked in the former Strand office, which was demolished to make way for Asda, before moving with the firm to its present location in Gwent House, Cwmbran where she now plays an important role as secretary in the Wills, Trusts and Probate department.
Since joining the firm Julie has worked with many partners, solicitors and colleagues and has celebrated a number of milestone occasions such as marriage and the arrival of children.
Damian Lines, Managing Partner, said:
“Forty years’ service with the firm is a remarkable achievement. Over that time the partners and the firm may have changed, but Julie has remained a constant. Although the firm may have grown, it is still the friendly place it always was. I am very fortunate to have Julie work for me, and I look forward to spending the next forty years working with her!”
