Training & employment

I studied for my undergraduate degree in Law and then my Legal Practice Course in Nottingham. I have a broad base of experience in family law, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2002. I have over 22 years of experience as a family lawyer.

I originally trained at Rubin Lewis O’Brien before leaving to broaden my experience at other firms in the Southeast Wales area. As of September 2025, I am delighted to have returned to Rubin Lewis O’Brien as Associate Solicitor and Head of the Family Law Department.

Specialisms

I specialise in all areas of family law including divorces and financial remedy, child arrangements, special guardianship orders, grandparents’ rights, cohabitation (and property) disputes and nuptial agreements.

I also have a background in public law family matters such as Care proceedings and adoption.

Approach

I pride myself in being empathetic and compassionate towards my clients, listening to their needs in what is often a time of crisis. I provide advice that focuses on what is important in the long-term and finding the path to move forward.

Accreditations, memberships & awards

I am a member of Resolution, an organisation that looks to resolve family disputes, not prolong them.

Outside of work

I am a busy mum of two teenagers. I am part of a local choir and I take part in regular rehearsals, shows and concerts throughout the year.

Additionally, I enjoy languages and am currently refreshing my knowledge of French. I love to travel and experience local foods and cultures and spend time socialising with friends and family.
