I joined Rubin Lewis O’Brien as a trainee solicitor in 1997. Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1999, I have specialised in commercial property work and became a partner with the firm in 2002, subsequently taking up the Managing Partner role in 2014.
I have a wealth of experience in commercial landlord and tenant matters acting for both landlords and tenants, buying and selling commercial property and all aspects of commercial and residential development work. I act for property developers, SMEs and charities and the vast majority of my work comes from returning and existing clients.
My aim is always to combine technical expertise with a pragmatic and commercial approach.
I am married with a young son and daughter and live in Cardiff. Outside work my children tend to keep me quite busy and I try (sometimes in vain) to coach my son’s football team, the mighty Radyr Rangers.
“I have worked with Rubin Lewis O'Brien for the last 12 years on a variety of property transactions. I have always been impressed by Sam's attention to detail in law and customer service and have recommended the firm to business associates, family and friends. Reliability in professional services should be a given, but with other firms I have not always found this. With Rubin Lewis O'Brien it is never in doubt that what is promised, will be delivered.”
