Karen started out in a high street firm where she focused on Family cases and assisted with Criminal matters, before joining the Crown Prosecution Service, where she became a Senior Crown Prosecutor. Karen specialised in matters affecting families and children, such as Domestic Abuse, Rape & Sexual Offences, and Child Abuse cases. After a period of maternity leave, Karen decided to join a Local Authority, dealing with Care Proceedings in the Child Protection Team. Gradually, Karen made a return to private practice to deal with Family work, which is her passion. Karen is familiar with all aspects of family law and her criminal experience is often relevant in this area.
Karen’s focus is to help her Clients move on with their lives by achieving the fairest outcome, whilst supporting them to make difficult decisions in difficult circumstances. Karen is known for her no-nonsense approach and ability to get alongside clients, providing them with sound advice and realistic options.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time at home with her children, family, friends and chickens (not necessarily in that order).
